Scanners. Not the horror flick but The New Horror coming to an airport near you!

An Airport Experience from Nov. 13, 2010
the link to the story

The objective of a terrorist is to destroy your will to defend yourself, coercing you, through the threat of harm, to give up your rights and personal liberties, the easier to enslave you.

Enslavement means the loss of personal liberty.

And sometimes it means a laswsuit!
This just in:
"Forcing Americans to undergo a virtual strip search as a  matter of course in reporting to work or boarding an airplane when there is no suspicion of wrongdoing is a grotesque violation of our civil liberties, undermining our right to privacy and to be free from unreasonable searches and seizures by government agents."

If the TSA takes away your personal liberty and enslaves you to their rules, all in the name of Security, how does their objective differ from that of a terrorist?

Terrorists, as well as the TSA, believe they are both right in taking away your personal liberty.

They just differ on the procedural technicalities.

The TSA says they do what they do to protect us from risk.
Most terrorists believe that the American way of life puts us all at personal risk anyway.
It would appear that the TSA is a bit self-conscious about the fact that most terrorists in the sky are thwarted by passengers after airport "security" let's them board the plane. So, despite the fact that international regulators as well as the World Health Organization have urged a delay in the deployment of these x-ray scanners until more is known about them, a lot of people along the way stand to make a lot of money in the process at $150,000 per machine and thousands of them are on order. And with this gross expenditure of public funds, the TSA gets to buy some napkins with which to try to wipe some of the egg off its face.

Though there are arguments on both sides, those urging delay, hold their position on the premise that there is no guarantee that they are safe. Those supporting their use say that there is no evidence to prove that they are dangerous. Then one pauses and asks,
"And just how much evidence could be acquired regarding the mass use of these machines when they have not been in mass use long to accumulate much evidence either way?"
Here the TSA turns its back on the common wisdom to "Error the side of CAUTION".
Janet Napolitano simply tells you what she wants you to believe, even if she has to lie to make her point. Please see the second video below.

And then, there's this from NPR
'David Brenner, head of Columbia University's Center for Radiological Research, recently aired his worries before the Congressional Biomedical Caucus.

"There really is no other technology around where we're planning to X-ray such an enormous number of individuals," Brenner told the caucus and congressional staffers. "It's really unprecedented in the radiation world."

Brenner's name carries some clout, because he served on a small group of experts convened in 2002 by the National Council on Radiation Protection and Measurements to write guidelines for the security scanners. He now says he wouldn't have signed the report if he had known the X-ray scanners were going to be used on virtually every air traveler.'
But the TSA will tell you that he thinks its safe. Despite concerns expressed by Johns Hopkins Research Center, the TSA will tell you that they approve of these machines. All of this reassurance is from the same people that let armed terrorists onto the planes in the first place, causing all of this hysteria, and all at our expense; expense, not just in dollars but at the expense of our Fourth Amendment Rights against
unwarranted search.

So we must, logically, ask ourselves,

"If someone inadvertently, despite their best efforts, served me poison, should I trust them when they rush to deliver the antidote?"
Many of the same people who don't want to eat genetically engineered food, think it's OK to become genetically altered humans. Though the TSA can't cure cancer, they are willing to take the risk, or rather, are willing for you to take the risk of developing cancer from exposure to these insufficiently tested machines AND insufficiently tested personnel!

Something as commonplace as a glitch in the software could slow the scan sufficiently to significantly increase the amount of exposure to any one part of your body. This is particularly dangerous to deveolping tissues in children as well as reproductive cells in adults. But to the TSA and Naploitano, the response is effectively,  "Oh, don't worry about it!"

Terrorists, as well as the TSA, believe they are both right in taking away your personal liberty.

They just differ on the procedural technicalities.

Our TSA tells us to put up with it as a necessary inconvenience for the sake of safety. The Framers of The Constitution and the Fourth Amendment did not agree.

"The two enemies of the people are criminals and government; so let us tie the second down with the chains of the constitution so the second will not become the legalized version of the first."
      -Thomas Jefferson

And then, there's this: at the end of the segment on Charlie Rangel's lack of representation, the legality of the probing pat downs is addressed by a judge.

And this!

AND THIS!

Here is some USEFUL INFO if you intend to use an airline:

EPIC (Electronic Privacy Information Center) has a pending suit regarding the body scanners:

The ACLU is also collecting information reports

Remember, the TSA's official response as to why John Tyner was subjected to confused and conflicting instructions at the airport was because the Supervisor! was new!

If he gets re-elected...

… it’ll be some kind of magic!

Stalled Trade Deal Puts Many American Jobs in Jeopardy, U.S. Chamber of Commerce Warns | CNSnews.com

We really shouldn’t send a boy child to do a man’s job. To my recollection, the only time the little ones fared well in a real man’s world was when David felled Goliath.
Oh! And then there was that time that Frodo dispatched Sauron.

But then, after seeing him pitch, who would expect more from the
"One Who Bows"?

Competent?

mmmmmm... maybe not so much.

Iraqi Christians mourn after church siege kills 58 - Yahoo! News

More tolerance from the Religion Of Peace

Almost makes you want to open a mosque at Ground Zero.
By BARBARA SURK and LARA JAKES, Associated Press Barbara Surk And Lara Jakes, Associated Press Mon Nov 1, 7:09 pm ET
BAGHDAD – After the gunmen killed the priest and nearly everyone in the first row, an eerie quiet descended over the pews. The only occasional sounds were sporadic gunfire, the muffled cries of the hostages and the shouts of Islamic militants — sometimes over their cell phones.
Suddenly the lights went out. Iraqi forces began entering the building, telling parishioners: "We will save you."
Then a shattering blast shook the church as a suicide bomber set off his explosives.
By the time the siege of Our Lady of Salvation church was over Sunday night, 58 people were dead and 78 wounded — nearly everyone inside the building.
The attack, claimed by an al-Qaida-linked organization, was the deadliest recorded against Iraq's Christians since the 2003 U.S.-led invasion unleashed a wave of violence against them.

How on Earth Did We Get Here?

With the ease of sending a text message to American Idol©, you can tell  them who you want to win. With that same depth of critcal thinking, coupled with the education gleaned from the objective and accurate disemintaion of full information, the Media  helped a lot of people remember how well it worked the last time they used the quick 'n easy of a feel-good decision process to register their preference of who was their favorite. When a candidate has no résumé, and keeping up with the facts is such a challenge, Vote-By-Color seems so much easier.

I guess Forest Gump's mother was right:
"Stupid is as stupid does."

And it doesn't matter in which of these great 57 states you live when, in the end, everyone is right... just because.

I suppose that's the benefit of "Heinz-sight"
They just don't see the pickle we're all in.

But, if you're born in one of the seven states that weren't part of the orginal 50 colonies, are you still a citizen? And can you vote? I mean, I'm just wondering. Maybe they need to do another poll.

Prevent Its Happening

"We're at war with the most dangerous enemy that has ever faced mankind in his long climb from the swamp to the stars. It has been said that if we lose that war, and in so doing lose this way of freedom of ours, history will record with the greatest astonishment, that those who had the most to lose did the least to prevent its happening."

Baghdad Catholic Massacre: Death Toll Reaches 58 (Photos / Video) - National Geopolitics | Examiner.com

I wonder if anyone knows how many Christians have killed themselves  in suicide attacks on muslims, in an effort to spread Christianity. I wonder how many times Christians have stormed mosques, killing muslimsas they went. I wonder, if reducing the number of muslims by, not just killing themselves, but also reducing the number new muslims, failing to make any converts in the process, if it wouldn’t be the best thing if all muslims globally saw the wisdom of this group and offered themselves in the service of Allah as these brave souls did. Are the rest of the muslims of the world simply cowards? What’s up with the religion of peace, anyway?
According the details in the press, they are really and truly,
the Religion of Pieces.

Baghdad Catholic Massacre: Death Toll Reaches 58 (Photos / Video) - National Geopolitics | Examiner.com

And perhaps most tellingly as to why it appears there can never be peace with Muslims:

“Had thy God pleased He would have made mankind of one religion; but those only to whom thy Lord hath granted mercy will cease to differ. And unto this hath He created them for the word of thy Lord shall be fulfilled, ‘I will fill hell with Jinn and men'" (Surah 11:120')

According to Mohammed, it is clearly Allah’s intention to fill Hell. It is his stated purpose. He therefore, according to the beliefs of Muslims, deliberately keeps men at odds on the foundations of differing religious beliefs. To do so is to his purpose and pleasure. Allah has said so himself. Anyone who tries to change these words is subject to death. Therefore there can never be peace with Muslims within a civilized society. Islam, by definition of the Qur’an, is a system by which Allah fills Hell with men by keeping them at odds by design. A good Muslim would never have peaceful existence in his heart as it is not in the heart of his god. He is not taught to seek peace except with other Muslims, and therefore does not seek it with non-Muslims. His purpose, if he truly serves Allah, is to help to fulfill the will of Allah which, as Allah has said, is to fill Hell with men. A good Muslim will do all in his power to send men to Hell. Witness the behavior and rhetoric of Muslims throughout the world today. The only “bad” Muslim is the one who does not help to fulfill the will of Allah which is, as stated by Allah and given to Muslims by his prophet, to fill Hell with men. When a Muslim says he wants peace he is telling you he wants you to lay down your arms and let him fulfill the will of Allah.

There can be no peace in the world as long as the world has both Islam and non-Muslims together.

But this is certainly not a fresh observation. The United States of America was founded by men who thought men should be free. Islam holds men as captive with no respect for love or freedom. One of our founding fathers clearly saw this and felt compelled to write about it.

According to John Quincy Adams:

"....On the Christian system of morals, man is an immortal spirit, confined for a short space of time, in an earthly tabernacle. Kindness to his fellow mortals embraces the whole compass of his duties upon earth, and the whole promise of happiness to his spirit hereafter. THE ESSENCE OF THIS DOCTRINE IS, TO EXALT THE SPIRITUAL OVER THE BRUTAL PART OF HIS NATURE." (Adam's capital letters)"John Quincy Adams on Islam....."Adopting from the sublime conception of the Mosaic law, the doctrine of one omnipotent God; he connected indissolubly with it, the audacious falsehood, that he was himself his prophet and apostle. Adopting from the new Revelation of Jesus, the faith and hope of immortal life, and of future retribution, he humbled it to the dust by adapting all the rewards and sanctions of his religion to the gratification of the sexual passion. He poisoned the sources of human felicity at the fountain, by degrading the condition of the female sex, and the allowance of polygamy; and he declared undistinguishing and exterminating war, as a part of his religion, against all the rest of mankind. THE ESSENCE OF HIS DOCTRINE WAS VIOLENCE AND LUST: TO EXALT THE BRUTAL OVER THE SPIRITUAL PART OF HUMAN NATURE (Adam's capital letters)""Between these two religions, thus contrasted in their characters, a war of twelve hundred years has already raged. The war is yet flagrant…While the merciless and dissolute dogmas of the false prophet shall furnish motives to human action, there can never be peace upon earth, and good will towards men."

--John Quincy Adams

Note: As Mozart was composing, Islamic Turks were were beign defended against, as they attacked the city of Vienna. Adams weas merely commenting on somewhat current affairs. And here we are in the 21st century and still, we're commenting on Islam as it involves violence in current affairs.
And that's what one might expect from The Religion Of Peace.

To Infinity and Beyond!

As was pointed out by Rush Limbaugh, James Carville, the great left wing political seer-genius, wrote is his book with regard to the Obamanation that was at large, "Republicans have no hope of making serious inroads into Democratic advantages in 2010, or likely in 2012 and 2014 and so on. It's time to call TOD (time of death) on the GOP."

Even, as Albert Einstein postulated, if one were to travel in a straight line through infinity, taken to the limits, it would bring the end back to the beginning, hence the figure eight symbol representing this theory: ∞, wherein the two ends of a straight line, being bent/warped by the space-time continuum, will eventually meet up again.

And so, too, will James Carville meet up again with his future self, Buzz Lightyear. Or do I have the wrong movie character. maybe I do. Buzz was a Good Guy. Deception is more the style, I think.

How can a supposed political writer be so completely and totally wrong, proven to be so absolutely wrong in such a short span of time, and still retain his job... as a political writer? Political theorist, often-proved-wrong,  -perhaps. But then, as is often seen to be the case, when the left speaks, it's usually a lie or some gross distortion of the truth. The theory there is that, as with all truisms, say it enough and people might just start to believe it. Well, it appears to have worked on Obama. When asked if he thought the tidal wave of Republican take-back was

an indication of a threat for Obamacare, since so many Republicans ran on the plank of repeal, without enough time to craft a lie, he spontaneously responded:

"Well, I know that there’s some Republican candidates who won last night who feel very strongly about it. I’m sure that this will be an issue that comes up in discussions with the Republican leadership. As I said before, though, I think we’d be misreading the election if we thought that the American people want to see us for the next two years relitigate arguments that we had over the last two years."
The fact is, Mr. Obama, if you would just sign the repeal bill, as your employers, the American People, obviously want you to do -think of it as one of those "shovel ready" projects you so frequently referenced-  it shouldn't take two more years. Maybe two more months you could get the job done. Liquid Plumber® will clear a clog in 15 minutes. I'm also pretty sure that "Joe The Plumber"  (you know the type: achievement-focused Americans) could rid the plumbing in Washington of the slime that blocks the free flow of American success in as much time. The vote on November 2, 2010 certainly made that clear. Just don't listen to Carville. He'll clog your thinking even more. And if you drag your feet on this, next thing you know, people will calling the Democrats "The Party of NO". And you can't let that happen.

And a little note to Barbara Boxer: The president's response, quoted above, was to a reporter who called the President "sir". And unless Obama was trying to continue with his program to further denigrate the presidency, as he did in bowing to foreign dignitaries, he didn't stop the proceedings to insist upon the assertion of a more lofty, ego-boosting title. But, perhaps that's because he didn't have to work as hard to get where he is. I'm just saying.

In the end, her mentality is consistent with the liberal attitude that with their sense of having a superior intellect should also come power and prestige, all of which should be admired and reverenced, as the ancients did of their gods of old. They lose sight of the fact that they campaigned for and succeeded in being chosen (Pick me! Pick me!) as servants. Imagine a waiter, similarly hired to be of service, taking exception because he was referenced as "waiter" instead of "garçon". Yet, as we come to understand how the liberal mind works (you call that working!?) we better understand how Obama could view a trouncing yet see an invitation to "fine tune" the most egregious offence that caused the trouncing in first place: usurpation of our American liberty.

Puyallup Tea Party Day: Dhimmitude

Puyallup Tea Party Day: Dhimmitude

I found this post on a blog related to the TEA (TaxedEnoughAlready) Party to be insightful and accurate.
It's well worth consideration.
